St Andrew's Presbyterian Church - Germiston

Building Centenary

The St. Andrews Presbyterian Church building of Germiston celebrated its centenary in 2005. As part of the centenary celebration several events were Building Centenary Logo.jpgorganised during the year.

The Reverend John McKane designed a special logo for the Building Centenary, which is featured here.

Although simple in design, the logo encompasses a great deal of symbolism. The 3 joined and interlocking white half-circles are symbolic of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and remind us that we are a church of God. Within St Andrews there is a golden painted line which runs all round the church  the gold circle reminds one of that. The Blue and White colours (St Andrews colours) in the middle of the circle of God are the people which meet encircled by the gold and in the presence of God.
